1873 enrollment as one of the first four students to study under Josiah Conder together with Katayama Tokuma, Tatsuno Kingo and Satachi Shichijiro at Imperial College of Engineering (Kobu Daigakko, now the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo)

graduated Department of Building Structure, Imperial College of Engineering,

entered Ministry of Industry

1881

Associate Professor, College of Engineering

1886

entered Imperial Japanese Navy as construction committee member of the Kure Naval District

1890

joined Mitsubishi Corporation after introduction by his mentor Josiah Conder

1892

construction starts at Mitsubishi Ichigokan (Building No.1 - completed 1894) and Nigokan (Building No.2 - completed 1895), designed by Josiah Conder, which is the start of the Marunouchi Brick Office Town

1906

retired from Mitsubishi Corporation,

opened architectural office

1908 established Sone Chujo architectural office together with Chujo Seiichiro
1936 death of his office partner Chujo Seiichiro
1937 December 6, passed away
